I stopped lifting because my back hurts badly from work and i don't want to live in a life of pain for something as dumb as muscles.
I lifted for five years... How do i get started in calisthenics or streching or something?
Plenty of lifts don't use your back.

Lift with a belt
Use trap bar instead of conventional DL
Do front squats instead of back squats

I have recurring disk pain in my upper back from carrying shingles up a ladder on my shoulders.
