Just started happening around last Wednesday or so. Been lifting for a year doing PPL. All the while still losing weight so eating at a deficit. It's just behind the knee cap and it only hurts when doing said lifts. Walking around and doing normal every day shit is fine. Anyone else have this problem? How long should I let it rest? Fucking bummed out.

Take a break off from lifting, only like 3 days. Do some light cardio thats easy on the joints like swimming, rowing machine, or bike. Stretch like a motherfucker after. Go back, try lifting. Seek professional health if its gets worse probably.

Give up deadlifts for about a month.
Do some other back exercise.
I suggest GHR or Weight hip raises.
If it hurts doing GHR then you're kinda fucked and should not do that movement for a while.

I took break for like 5 days because of the hurricane. Felt good and right when I started doing heavy deads it fucked up. Warm-up was fine so I thought I was good too.

Get one of those resistance bands that go around your knees and focus on using your hips and glutes more. You should also look into stretching and foam rolling those areas.
