Hey /fit/,
I started SL a few weeks ago and I'm enjoying it. What would be considered "good" weights for me to lift for my size? Or rather, what should my goals be.
I'm 5ft 6 60.5kg.
My most recent lifts were, for 5X5:
65kg Squat
45kg Bench Press
45kg Barbell Row
35kg Overhead Press
85kg Deadlift
Thanks /fit/ :-)

Your long term goal is 1/2/3/4
Your short term goal is to add a little more weight every session

1pl8 OHP 2pl8 bench 3pl8 squat 4pl8 deadlift
It's not super high but it's high enough to keep going for a few years. After that you can focus on aesthetics

Ah ok. I'm not evem taking the piss, how heavy is 1pl8?
>>42850809
1 plate ohp
2 plate bench
3 plate squat
4 plate deadlift
We're all gonna make it
>>42850878
20.4 kg plates on each side of the bar
>>42850878
1 pl8 = 1 plate = 20 kg on each side = 2*20+20 (the bar) = 60 kg

We all start somewhere. I forget sometimes how jargon heavy /fit/ is.
A single plate (pl8) is 20kg. 1pl8 is one 2kg plate on both siders. 2pl8 is two plates on both sides. 2pl8 weights 100kg (4 20kg plates and the bar).

Ah, excellent. Thanks for clearing that up guys.
So 180kg deadlift is the aim? That sounds literally impossible for someone my size lol
Honestly there is no specific "good" weight for your size, anything and everything is good, just keep progressing and deloading as you need to and you'll be stronger than you were before you started and each week you'll be stronger than you were last week, only compare yourself to the person you were before, not to anyone else. If last week you did 65kg squat then the "good" weight for next time will be a bit more than that.

You are gonna get some weight, that's the goal too.

Aim for the moon and even if you miss you'll be among the stars
:DDDDDDDDDDDD
>>42850940
Yeah. Fair point.
>>42850926
Nice way of looking at it :-)
>>42850922
Think of it this way, you only started a few weeks ago and you're nearly half way there. Do your lifts and eat right and you'll make it.

hahahahaha I love this. Thanks anon.
