I'm the same weight as progamerjay. I'm thinking of doing a fast so I can get fit.
What do you guys think?
>transforms from fatty to Chad
>loses the basketball shorts
Really makes you think...

Reminder that the video was clickbait and a scam

CICO does not apply to fasting. Your body needs to turn fat into every source of energy, which is not a terribly efficient process. You must consider the losses from storage to use.

>science doesn't apply during fasting
ok buddy
>>42831667
To rephrase, fasting is very hard on the body. It is difficult (requires more work for consideration) to operate the body on stored energy. Especially if you excercise.
Also, you are not considering water weight.

It wouldn't have to be 4375 calories of exercise every day, it would have to be an AVERAGE of 4375 calories per day. he could have run 840 miles on day 28 which is a way more sustainable fasting method than your suggestion

Reading something on a fitness forum does not make it hard science. "CICO" is considered a useful heuristic for normal metabolism, not a law.

Yea, nah.
This is an obese individual, not a cutting athlete. Also water weight like >>42831701 mentioned.

If you’re serious do your research. Look up refeeding syndrome. Plan how you’re going to break your fast.

Read up on thermodynamics, kiddo.
You aren't special. Your body obeys the laws of physics too.

That's why I said it's impossible. He's lying about either his weights (starting or ending) or the dates (starting or ending).
Regarding water weight, he had already started dieting prior to his "start date" and lost almost 30 pounds between 9/20/2016 and 11/3/2016 (44 days). Presumably he lost most of the water weight in that time period.
Even if 10 of those 51 pounds was water weight, it still means he had a 5125 calorie deficit per day, meaning 3125 calories of exercise on top of his BMR. That's 21 miles a day.

Its possible.
1) maybe he has a higher than avergae metabolism (lets say 3000 calories per day).
2) He lost some lean mass as well\
3) He would have lost water weight (water is stored in fatty tissue so losing weight releases a lot of water).
lets say he lost 35 pounds fat and 10 pounds water and 5 pounds lean mass
A pound of fat a day is doable with a high metabolism and moderate exercise.(2500calories BMR and +1000 calories exercie)
