So I was out last night and got asked to join a rugby team, based just on my build. I'm 6', 200 lbs, and I've had a handful of people tell me I've got a rugby body.
I've never played before, so I don't know what I got myself into. I don't even know what position they want me for, or even what that position would consist of. I played soccer up until the end of college, and I was pretty into lifting until I got lazy, so I have a decent foundation for muscle, especially in my legs.
Coincidentally, I started Couch to 5K a month ago to try and get some endurance back, but aside from that, I have no clue what to do to get in shape quickly for this. Does anyone know of any kind of quick crash workout/routine to help me get started? Watching youtube videos right now to try and learn the game. (inb4 drink beer, suck cock, etc., I can handle those on my own)

I was worried about, but apparently it's a pretty social and friendly league.
That being said, I really don't give a shit if I get my ass kicked.

How strong are you? How's your fitness?
When does this club's season start? I don't know where you live so I don't know how long you have to prepare (my season finished in August so I have until spring to train, for instance)
Playing rugby at University right now and it's the best decision I've made in a long time. It has gotten me ripped and honed my coordination skills. Play the game, Anon, you won't regret it.
