How the fuck do I fix this? Walking uphill for about 5 minutes is enough to get me to stop.

I got bad shin splints during basic training, use proper foot wear. I highly recommend brooks or asics. Also it will go away with, theres really no remedy besides just running more and walking more. It'll hurt like hell but just stretch and with time it'll go away.

yeah lose weight, it goes away. i've tried shifting how i walk, not using my calfs at all, using them more, it always fucking burns. but skinny people dont have this problem, the more you hike uphill the longer you can go, losing weight and practice will fix it. im sure doing various calf lifts will help too
