Just left the gym in a fit of rage after doing 3 sets pf overhead press because I'm making ZERO progress. I can barely squeeze out 1pl8 for a rep and it's been like this for a YEAR. I don't know why I care so much about this fucking lift. I never feel more manly then when I hit a ohp PR and I never feel more weak when I hit a plateau. Pissed me off today so I said "Fuck it". Re-racked my weights and just left. It completely ruined my motivation to finish my workout.

On those days just do push press with a slow negative instead.
OHP past 1pl8 is getting bitchy to program. Change your rep ranges, do accessories (push press, Z press, lat raises) etc.

Do a quick Auschwitz cut and then slow bulk your ass up. whats your program like, how many times a week?
Push pressing, log pressing if you have one.
BTN press seated (don't use low rep heavy weight, go higher around 12-15 reps. It isn't dangerous if you're sensible)
Don't waste time between reps, even if you really want to take a second for a breather.
Core and glutes. Tighten them as hard as someone resisting rape. Seriously makes a huge difference.
Thumbless grip (not dangerous for OHP because in the small chance you drop the bar [I haven't once in the years I've been using it] you can just move out of the way)
