Hey /fit/, I'm gonna need your help.
I've had what I think is patellar tendonitis for 2+ years now. Hurts to run and jump, and squats are too painful to do. Been to countless physios, who have suggested issues such as: tight IT band, weak glutes, weak quads, tight hips. (How do I even test if I have a muscle imbalance...what if I'm further strengthening the stronger muscle?)
I've also gone to a podiatrist, and turns out I have some feet problems. Not sure exactly what the problems were but I think mainly its that my feet roll inwards.
I have taken a season off basketball, and rested completely and the pain went away. Five minutes in to running and the injury is back. This pattern always repeats.
I fell for the Starting Strength meme when I first started lifting 3 years ago, which is when the pain began. Have low bar squats ruined me?
Plz help me /fit/. I don't know what to do anymore.
Bump. Plz guys
I'll give u a bump anon. Good luck
>patellar tendonitis for 2+ years now
at this point it will have developed into patellar tendinosis, which means the ligament has received structural damage that can't be healed with rest. basically you need surgery and even then there's no guarantee the pain will go away
bump. godspeed you, anon

Im not 100% sure its tendonitis/tendinosis but it seems like it. Are there any other possibilities it could be?
What does the surgery involve and is their any risks?
