You need to learn how to eat for satiety. When I was unable to control my hunger I would grab a giant head of broccoli and eat that with water. Later I started to figure out foods that would actually keep me full. Look up foods that are low on the glysemic index. Prioritize proteins and fats.

The last two weeks I've averaged like four pounds off per week. I'm reading a lot of places saying you should be averaging two pounds a week for healthy weight loss. This has been my dinner. Do I need to change my intake? Will I be fucked at four pounds a week or should I be OK? 5' 8'' male @ 260 pounds. One, finally broke through my plateau. I was 199 for like two weeks, now I clocked in 194 this week. Back to normal, now I can keep going for another 20 lbs until I finally get to 170something and see how lean I can get.

Two, how meaningful is determining your tdee if you're just going for no more than 2000 cal daily? Is anyone's tdee less than 2000, aside from skeleton manlets or children? Maybe it's a dumb question. I know that you need your tdee to determine more gentle calorie deficits, or what your personal maintenance diet would look like.

6'2" at 257 lbs. Started at 315 around March and dropped to 275 through real lazy keto and IF/ADF.
Years ago I was 480 at my heaviest and dropped down to 220 before I did a 74 hit combo of bad life choices and ended up at the aforementioned 315.

I was doing great all July, literally doing 90 minutes of cardio everyday on the stairmaster and lifting, but I just fell off the track HARD. Probably stress, I was looking for a job and was scared of getting kicked out of my house (I'm 19). I got the job though, it's gonna be great.

The job is gonna give me a schedule so I don't eat when I'm bored. So happy. Hopefully it's not too hard. It's package handling.

Well thanks you fuckers, I now look like a deflated nutsack. What is even the point of exercising 4-5 times a week just to live like an extra 5 or so fucking years. The way I see it, I could eat whatever the fuck I want, sit around all day doing jack shit, NOT waste any fucking time exercising and the time you save from not exercising added up would equal the extra 5 years that you would have lived WITH exercising, PLUS i don't look like a fucking sack of skin. I look better filled out with the weight than I do without it. Plus fatness is being more and more normalized, the way I see it I look more normal than the so called "fit" people in about a decade,.

So tell me what the fuck is the point of losing weight if you're a fat fuck? You might as well just embrace your shit and just ride it out until you die. There is literally no reason not to. I'm trying for the first time to lose the weight. I am not a /fit/izen at all. I am morbidly obese & have a pack a day habit. Mid-thirties.

The thing that is inspiring me is I have been talking with this really cool, pretty girl online for several years. She loves jew jokes & she is an artist, we have things in common. Cammed with her about a week ago for the first time. I could see the disappointment in her face. She tried to play it off & be nice about but obviously my fat-ass has ruined yet another good thing for me. My only consolation is she lives in another country. Well if it makes you feel any better anon, we're so similar it's eery. I'm 32 with a pack a day habit. I'm not morbidly obese, but I'm overweight, with back fat that disgusts me so much. My lower back fat is worse than people 3x my size. I also met a girl online who I got along with really well and fell in love with her. If you happen to come across it on the market or some Asian grocery store and want to try it, boil some water and then throw them in after washing for one to two minutes depending on how crunchy/mushy you want them (for maximum crunchyness, 60 seconds then dump them in a bath of ice). The dijon sauce is really easy to make, too. 2. Count calories, look at packaging, how much kcals is there in it, divide that shit out. (100/[amount of kcal per 100 grams])*[amount of grams you use]

3. Consistency is obviously key, you will have weeks where its going great, and weeks where its going pretty shit. Take the good weeks and save those victories for if and when progress stalls briefly.

I don't know that health impact will be crazy, but if you cut too extreme you'll probably begin eating too much once you hit your goal because you feel like you're done.

But the truth is you are never done. Keeping weight off is harder than losing it, and it never stops. One of the reasons people recommend going slow is so that you learn what eating will essentially be like for the rest of for life. Don't think of it as a diet, think of it as how you get to eat now (and then add a little back in at your goal to get to maintenance weight)

Putting oil on everything is really hard for me, not a big fan of butter or oil, but I usually mask it with spices.

It depends on your height and weight, what the fuck your actual speed was, AND: it also doesn't matter because the most significant weight loss comes from controlling your caloric intake. Consider exercise a bonus.

This morning I weighed myself after yesterday's doomed fast (which only lasted around 20 hours) and...wow, I was down to 153--the lowest I have been since 4rth grade. I ate 800 calories today so I'm still doing okay.

It wasn't that hard. Cut out the filler food and meals--the obligatory banana in the morning, cereal, rice, pasta, bread, breakfast or dinner, and it helps a lot. Shilling in a nice sub-200 calorie veggie stirfry or weird other veggie thing (I somehow managed to make purple cabbage taste like a hamburger, what the fuck?). Keep the binge foods out of the house, and yeah. I lost 100 pounds with barely any exercise.

I might make it after all...

You can't, really. A lot of what people consider loose skin is just skin with fat still clinging to it. To really know what skin is loose, you have to get your body fat really low (like 15% or lower, I think.

If you are worried, start or keep on lifting and drink enough water (3 liters a day).

ate normally under my TDEE today and yesterday. i'll do my weekly weigh-in tomorrow morning but i already know that i sacrificed an entire weeks worth of progress. maybe even more than that.

i always get the urge to binge eat when i smoke. i used to smoke daily but i tried to cut the habit in july when i started trying to lose weight. i still smoke on occasion (about once every two weeks), and every fucking time i get the urge to binge. i've held myself back from binging a few times, but i see that it's futile to even try.

i don't want to throw the pipe out yet. i'll keep it around for other cheat days once i'm further along. i won't smoke regularly if i don't buy any weed.

I do low carb(100-70grams) a couple days a week.

other days I have 250-300.

Its a decent way of getting lower weekly calories.

every 100 grams less of carbs you have is 400 calories.

Similarly with fats except every 50 grams is 450 calories.

And basically 400 or 450 is pretty much enough for a caloric deficit. (500 is recommended in the sticky.)

You don't have to cut purely from carbs or fats. You can do a combination, or you can eat regularly(maintainence) and just do 500 calories worth of lifting + cardio.

1. Learn about Fasting - either intermittent or a few days at at time + learn about ketogenic diet. Learn about autophagy. This shit is real and it is one of the main reasons some people get lots of loose skin and some don't. Your best bet is eating a clean ketogenic diet on intermittent fasting - 23 hour fast 1 hour eating.

2. Eat nuts, meats and veges, maybe a tiny amount of fruit to make your <50 carbs. Don't try to get your nutrients from multivitamins.

3. Don't eat less than a 500 cal deficit. Yes you have lost a lot of fat but you still have plenty to lose. Take it slow.

4. Get lots of sleep

5. Start doing bodyweights at least. I'm talking pullups, pressups and situps.

6. Take fish oil daily (codliveroil = best). + zinc/magnesium supp.

7. Get some coconut oil and a moisturizer with vitamin E + collagen. These are not very expensive. Rub one of these into your skin each day, on all of the spots that are saggy/stretched/looking shit.

Candy, chocolate, crisps/chips etc. have never been a problem for me. As long as I don't mindlessly eat it out of boredom it just doesn't appeal to me that much.

My biggest issue at holidays is that I spend more time with my parents than usual and only have limited control over which meals I eat.
