Stand in front of bathroom mirror (or other mirror where there's good lighting), and use selfie mode on your phone camera to view the top on your head slightly from behind. If you notice it everyone else will.

That's what I mean, if you can notice even in the most "optimal" conditions it will be noticeable. Being out in the sun when you tie your shoe, someone sitting behind you on bleachers etc. I hate to tell ya but it's too late. I can honestly say that shaving my head was the most heartbreaking thing I've ever had to do but it gets easier

Everyone who gets a hair transplant is on finasteride, otherwise you rapidly lose the transplanted hair. It's not one or the other, in all cases hair transplant goes with finasteride.

Hair transplant also works best for receded hairline, not really an option for general diffuse thinning, unless that thinning is specific to the crown
