Is there any point in switching to a strength routine like madcow until my numbers hit intermediate? It should take me few months if all goes well. My strength gains have been quite slow but my muscle gains have been smooth on my current bulk.

Programs don't really matter desu as long as you're doing the big compound movements and progressively overloading UNLESS you're a top tier athlete

Madcow is pretty good for getting big.
