I was planning on starting out with SS but my gym is filled with Technogym machines - there's a couple of big ones, one of which is a squat rack but the bar is built into it. There's some barbells but no bench for it.
What's an alternative program which makes use of these fixed machines instead? There's a big cable type machine where the origin of the cables and the handles attached to the end of the cables can be swapped out, and some other similar machine.
I'm a newly skinny beginnerfag looking to put on muscle.

just eat maintenance, do some kind of PPL with the machines and you will be golden

Any particular PPL routines you'd recommend to start with? I need to get into an exact routine and habit.

reddits ppl linear is good, but its hard to progress on machines

Can't do proper work with machines. Get a better gym or get the fuck out.

Mashines arent as bad as fit makes it out unless you want to go full power/oly lifter.
If you are a beginner youll be fine for the next few month.
Routine depends on the available equipment obviously. Just pick 3 differemt mashines per bodypart and do 3-4 sets with 10-15 reps
Take a look whats available and come up with your own ppl / pp routine

The gym membership comes with the place I'm living in, and it's right round the corner. I'm looking to get started, and this is a start on a platter for me.

In that case, take advantage and see what you can work around

Don't listen to these people. Use google to find a strength training gym in your area. Find a place that has power racks/ squat racks and free weights. You will not get stronger using machines. And buy the SS book as well as Practical Programming for Strength Training.
Get a gym membership you pay for instead of using the machines in your apartment complex
Barbells are a pretty nice piece of exercise equipment to have, so if you can change gyms to where you have better equipment for barbell exercises, I'd advise that.
However, if you can't, machines are still not a bad thing even as a beginner. And every gym has a dumbbell rack anyway so you can substitute dumbbells for barbell exercises, like presses and deadlift.
Basically, there's a lot you can do as a beginner even at a technogym.
Basic PPL split without barbells would be dumbbell presses while standing and on flat and incline benches, lateral raises, tricep dips for push. Dumbbell deadlifts, dumbbell rows, the row machine, chin/pull ups, pulldowns, curls for pull. And fixed barbell squats, leg press, calf raises, hamstring curls for legs.
The cable crossover machine is pretty versatile as well, you use it for tricep pushdowns, face pulls, curls etc.
