Hey guys, looking for advice. I'm relatively new to lifting and want to start with a SS/SL 5x5 but have been reading a lot about what this program lacks.
From what I've read on here and Plebbit I'm thinking about adding 4 accessory workouts to the program.
1. Chin ups - For biceps since 5x5 doesn't have much for that. Also I want to do a vertical pll
2. Tricep pull downs - I've heard so much about 5x5 not doing shit for arms and I want to avoid that if
3. Face pulls - I already have rolled shoulders from sitting down at a computer most of my life, I feel like any rear delt exercise should be done
4. Calf raises - why not?
5. Abs - hanging leg raises and side bends because I want good looking abs
Any input? I'm thinking if I alternate between these exercises after the 5x5 I should have a good starting routine for a beginner
Just do reddits linear PPL, it will save you time not fucking around with a shitty program and it will yield way better aesthetics and size
