Gym strength isn't real world strength.

None of you have a physical job so you wouldn't know, tho.

Holding something for a long period of time demands greater muscle endurance then most workouts you can do.

As a matter of fact static training is more strenuous and demands greater strength then any lift you can accomplish and has more potential to build strength.
HOWEVER it's been told that it's far more dangerous because of the pressure it places on your body and since you are not completely a full range of movement your strength is limited to that one singe point where you did it.


Oh and yeah. Walking is fantastic for you. It won't give you the kind of cardiovascular endurance that marathon runners have, but it will make basically everything you do in life far far easier and life a lot longer.
