I don't know much about fitness and I have a slightly contradictory goal.
I'm skinny fat, I want to get rid of my belly, but I don't want to lose the amount of muscle that I've gained.
So I keep reading everywhere that if you want to lose weight, you need to burn more calories than what you consume, but at the same time, if you want to have more muscle mass, you need to be consuming more calories than what you burn.
So what the hell should I do? Which one should I worry about first?

Lift and keep eating what you are eating now. When you stop getting stronger, if you are getting enough sleep, eat more

as long as you have a healthy BMI, you should just eat maintenance calories, and lift for strength. Get enough protein and sleep, and you'll get leaner in time.
just bulk now till you run out of newb gains and cut in 6~months.

There was a research on american gymnasts showing that on 20% caloric deficit you can get some lean mass and burn fat at the same time. I am too lazy to google it for you, but I have given enough specifics for you to be able to find it.

Your problem will be solved by lifting weights for exercise, and eating at a slight deficit and making sure you consume enough protein. You will maintain or grow your muscles and lose the fat. You don't have to eat too much to gain muscle, you will just gain it at a slower rate than if you were bulking (especially accounting for beginners gains).
