does ddr have any fit value or the movements you need to do are insufficient to be considered exercise?
i know it can't be compared to any real physical workout but i wanted to know the opinion of people that care about this kind of stuff more than the average person

The kind of person who might benefit from this is the kind of person who won't ever go near these machines. The kind of person that would REALLY benefit from this is the kind of person who would break the platform by getting on.
Basically the only type of person who plays DDR is already fit enough to not consider DDR an actual strenuous exercise of any sort.

I'm not sure. How do you play ddr? I've never heard of it. I still play my old gameboy for majora's mask nostalgia.

you step on those arrows on the platform when the arrows reach a certain spot

Playing with a bar is no fun

Doesn't look or feel like dancing anymore, just autistic button pressing except with your feet
>>
It's decent cardio if you don't take long breaks in between songs. My fatass middles school self lost about ten pounds when I played it obsessively.

I lost a lot of weight freshman/sophomore year of college by playing DDR, with no effort at eating a proper diet. I was playing for an average of 2-3 hours a day, high difficulty (7-8 foot) songs. Looking back I think my DDR play was a crude HIIT program since I would play two difficult songs, rotate out for friends' turns, and play two more, over and over again. So yes, but it's kind of a qualified yes.

I used exercise at justification for buying this with my sister back when Max 2 was relatively new.

It was decent movement for a fast sedentary fuck like me, but it's probably even more beneficial to just walk consistently since you won't play this every day for long enough to make it a habit (most likely)

>does ddr have any fit value or the movements you need to do are insufficient to be considered exercise?

Just do some jump rope.

DDR only improves your ability to play DDR. The umber of fat otaku I've seen who can blitz that game makes me think it really isn't that great for fitness purposes. Same way twiddling your thumbs with a game controller doesn't really make them that much stronger than an everyday persons.
>>
I lost 30 lbs doing DDR when I was in my teens. It's great cardio.
>>
>>42752617
Are you fucking retarded?
Are you actually saying that doing something like DDR isn't going to help people lose weight?
No seriously, you are saying that people will not get fitter(and with a decent diet because you can't out run a bad diet)lose weight from doing physical activity.
