hey /fit/,
I have never worked out a day in my life. I was planning on starting gym later this month when I get some money together. So I was very curious to hear your opinions: do you think lifting and working out makes a difference on your facial hair? I for one have a very patchy beard, and it is not as thick and voloumous as other men. So I was interested in knowing if lifting weights made a difference for any of you.

I'm only 18 and I'm noticing more hair growth around my face now that I'm on a surplus. Maintenance levels probably have the same effect

Lifting can increase your testosterone by a marginal, but noticeable, amount, which can improve beard coverage. It's not gonna suddenly turn you into a Werewolf Hungarian though.

That could easily be your natural hormones. It tends to get thicker as you grow older, but in my case it did happen around 20 when I was finally able to grow some hair, but it came out very patchy. And I know other men in their 25s who have the same problem, it is just slightly thicker hair, but then they have never worked out a day in their life.
This is about the best I was able to grow it out. I'm uploading two photographs taken at different times

But wouldn't it be more of a steady process? Now that I'm lifting and eating a clean bulk, vitamins, my hair is darker and there's more of it.

Your beard will continue to get more dense for many years, it likely has nothing to do with lifting or eating.

>hair is darker
Skin got oilier or you don't go into the sun as much. The former can be down to nutrition and all sorts of things.
