Over 20 reps and no lower rep work does nothing for hypertrophy. I'm not sure why they do, maybe to keep the delts and abs strong to stand tall and keep their guard up.

Point was that ONLY higher rep training is bad. The literature only agrees that multiple rep ranges are best. As to the best single rep range for size, high reps is low on the list and a quick Google search will yield hundreds of studies saying this
