I'm not getting any stronger, am I messing up?
I'm 20 a 20 year old male, 6'4", 210 lbs. I started lifting a few months ago but I can't seem to make any progress. I started with just the Olympic bar to get my form good, went up to 100, but I can't get passed that for any exercises. I can't even do a high volume of reps without my joints and bones hurting a lot.

Nice
What program are you following?
How much do you eat?
How much do you sleep?

I was doing the Chris Gethin 3month challenge
My diet is pretty solid, caloric intake of about 1500 sometimes 2000 since I still want to cut some fat from when I was obese. No sugar no dairy.
Horrid sleep schedule, work has me in at day and night shifts I can't get a good routine in unless I quit.

Well there you go. You're cutting, and not getting enough rest. You won't get stronger.

>1500 or 2000 calories
6'4 210lbs male bmr is like 2400
you eating under what you literally need to live
t 6'3 220 but with a lot muscles and my BMR is at 2590 so to get stronger minimum for me is like 3000

Probably a stupid question but won't I gain fat as well if I have high calorie intake even though I'm lifting? I know muscles take more calories to sustain than fat cells but I don't have much muscle.
