just broke my last cigarettes and threw them out. anyone got tips to quit?
Don't buy anymore ever.
You can only quit if YOU want to. Every time you feel withdrawal, recognize that it's your body dying for things to return to normal and poison it with tar and nicotine. Don't be your body's bitch, change is always a struggle but you will do it.
Really though withdrawal effects are present for a month max. Just get through a month and you're home free. Quitting is actually not hard.

good work,
get some sleep aids and some laxatives you're gonna need 'em. I was only able to really quit because I recognized a window in which I had the willpower to. The rest is largely being resolute in that an removing "excuses" that would allow you to smoke.

Don't smoke ever again, not even one puff when you're drunk at 11pm at the bar with your favourite whiskey/beer and your 8 months clean. That's your brain rationalising the addiction it's last ditch attempt to get you hooked again. It will taste like shit... But even then you will go back to a 10 a day habit in approximately a week.

I've found that it's pretty easy to quit most addictive things (smoking, alcohol) if you can manage to stop buying it. Even if you have an occasional smoke when someone offers you're still cutting down dramatically, and eventually you'll not even crave em

everytime you want to smoke take a deep breath and ask yourself WHY you want to smoke right now.
