I'm looking for lifting shoes.
I'm not interested in the squat-designated lifting shoes with the raised heels though, as I have great mobility and often go ATG. I'm mainly just looking to get extra stability and "ground connection" when doing deadlifts and squats.
The shoes need to have:
- A flat and thin sole/heel (to get closer to the ground)
- Good floor "grip"
- A nice and secure fit
I'm size EU47/US13 though (6'4"), so there's a lot of models I can't wear.
Considered:
- Converse Chuck Taylors (newb lifting shoe; the sole compresses too much)
- Adidas Havoc wrestling shoes (too small for me)
- SABO Deadlift Shoes (too small for me)
- Reebok Men's Crossfit Lite TR (discontinued, afaik)
- Barefoot/socks only (hurts too much once you go above 4pl8; lacks stability; feet vulnerable to dropped weights; might clash with gym rules)
Considering finding some good wrestling shoes in my size that fit the criteria.
Any suggestions?
