not that anon but i live in Australia and even i can buy a cheap slow cooker for around $30. Its probably the single best thing you can buy for your kitchen setup (apart from a fridge obviously). Sure you might not be having pan seared steaks or amazing dinners every night but its easily the most versatile thing you can get

But yes anon- a slow cooker is pretty much necessary if you want to eat well on a budget. Don't fuck around buying that processed meat, especially when it's so much cheaper and better to eat meat you cooked yourself.
