according to this, fat burn is highest at moderate activity
at more rigorous activity, you're burning carbs, not stored fat
so to lose fat, you should just go for a 3 hour brisk walk every day
To lose fat, you should be in a calorie deficit.

Yes we know. But training is also a factor, and some training (anaerobic) is more efficient for using fat rather than energy from recently eaten food.
True dat. Lost most weight walking like 6 hours a day.
Trained hard now, eating at a deficit, but I didn't lose weight at first. After my numbers went up I started to lose weight, I reckon if you lift twice the weight, you burn twice the calories while lifting.
As a newb please listen here: If you are a bit fat and want to lose weight: Start by eating less, and more protein, don't lift. Take walks, hard walks up stairs. Get leaner.
Then start lifting and eat maintenance and get your numbers up, after 6 months your lifts will be good. Then start cutting.
Never start a cut while starting out lifting. Wait till you got atleast a 2pl8 squat.
Yes. Moving at a moderate pace for a long time burns more calories than moving at a fast pace for a short time. But the most important thing is diet as the other anon said.
