Since I was 17 (20 now), I've had a bad habit of picking the skin where there were little pustules, primarily on my upper arms (left especially), which caused this small scars to appear. Not even that, even mildly scratching off the top most layer of skin would cause ugly scabs that would later become those same scars. I feel extremely self conscious and can't work out or wear a short sleeve shirt without feeling embarrassed because of my nasty skin. Is there any home remedies or over the counter medicines I can use to make them less visible? I'm going to see a doctor tomorrow for an unrelated ailment but I really don't trust doctors for squat, they're just glorified prescription merchants. Help me /fit/, my skin is the greediest of gains goblins

It's solid advice though. Nobody cares what your skin looks like, and you shouldn't care what other people think. If he wanted real advice on how to treat his skin he could just Bing™ it.
That shit's barely noticeable dude. You think everyone is gonna be busting out magnifying glasses around you or something?
get a tan and nobody will notice or care
cosmetic stuff won't be covered by insurance so if you have the money i'm sure there's laser stuff for acne scars

OP here, I don't care if anybody else cares. Let them if they want. I care about how I look because I don't want to see myself with these butt ugly scars on my arms. It's a personal thing, call me retarded or immature or whatever all you like but it doesn't change how I feel about myself. Telling me not to worry about it is such a lazy way of giving advice
Plus wouldn't getting a tan make them MORE visible, scar tissue doesn't tan right?

Ok, if anything I think you should start with the obvious, like moisturising your skin daily, not taking showers that are too hot, to make sure your skin doesn't dry up.
One extreme solution would be to cover them up with tattoos, but that's more like a last ditch effort
Use heavy duty moisturizer on your upper arms twice a day. I've found that giving them sun also helps

At long last, a legitimate piece of advice that isn't "hur dur dun wurry bout it anon". I'm mostly concerned with getting rid of the scars that are already there, but thanks. How should I prevent more pustules from appearing? I lather myself in the same shit I put on my face when I have pimples but it has no effect on my arms

Talk to a derm. Dermatologists are good at their jobs (fixing skin).

Exfoliating is the answer to prevent those odd pustules
I have the same shit and couldn't care less.
