Hey /fit/
I have a really important fitness test that got moved forward by 4 months.
It involves pushups, and this is the only component worrying me.
I need to go from 20 to 40 pushups by the 20th of September (full, proper form).
How can I do this? What's the best way to train up to it?
Pic unrelated.

Are you trying to get in the military? Don't die for Israel anon.

Yes, won't be for Israel though haha

Do push ups a lot

Every day? Second day? To failure? Details por favor
>40
special forces?
I'd be more worried about impressing them with pullups

to failure every day until you hurt

Nah, not even man. General service officer. I thought I was in track with fitness but in the last round of interviews I got drilled on this particular thing.
Don't wanna hijack this thread but how to increase reps when you have high lactic acid build-up? 2 years working out, mostly body weight and kettlebell I went from 60kg to 80kg but all that time I have never been able to get past 12 pushups, the burn is too much to the point of failure

yo what the fuck
that isn't normal bro, I could do 20 within a week, are you some kind of lanky freak?

Do you practice them much? Id just do them first on chest day or replace bench for a while. Go to failure then do knee pushups to failure, 3 sets.
Just do them, every other day. And on that day do as many as you can in you 18 hour day. JUST KEEP FUCKING DOING THEM.
google 'grease the groove'.
I can do 70 push-ups.
