I'm going to Halton for 71 days training for the RAF.
Anyone here ever been there?
How did you build / retain muscle mass?
What bodyweight exercises should I do to help keep my gains?
Obvious ones being
>pushups
>chinups
>planks / sit-ups
What else?
How does it feel knowing that Lyneham now belongs to us pussaay? Army for life!

Good work op, real smart

Realistically you aren't going to be able to, you'll be doing too much cardio with too little rest, you are going to lose size and strength.
But it's only 10 weeks, take it as an opportunity to get lean.
Good luck, and remember the whole thing is just a shit test, keep your head down and get on with it.

You can not keep mass when going through most military training regiments.
It's nearly impossible.
>meals are too regulated (size and time of meal)
>not enough sleep
>cardio is nearly constant
add in
>sometimes you won't be eating much of anything
>you're limited on what workouts you can do
Military training is designed to make all soldiers roughly the same size. I was slightly chubby when I went through basic, a year later when I was done with airborne training I was roughly 8-10% body fat.

Alright, damn, I guess it won't stop me from trying but I do see your point.
Might need to think a bit out of the box when I am there.
Thanks though

I'm telling you if you're going through basic it's near impossible.
Once you get to AIT or the equal you can take creatine and other things to bulk back up (meals are also larger).
Just part of it m8.
You will look fucking shredded though, had a 6'6'' 200+ lb dude who lost like 20 lbs of fat and looked like a model.

True, fair enough, its only 71 days so it ain't the end of the world.
Thanks duhd
