I've been given a few weights by a friend (barbell and dumbbells), I'm a total fit noob and am reading the sticky as we speak.
Any advice or tips you wish you heard when you were starting out?
If you have access to college, take a weight training class.
If not, watch form videos, film yourself, then post your form in a thread here.
MOST IMPORTANTLY: diet is everything. If you're not counting your calories and macronutrients, don't even bother training.
