Which is now seem as the standard row, standing at a slight angle as you row. Before that, the "pendlay" row was the regular row.

You don't hear people say yates row when talking about the row, but pendlay came first. So when talking about the row at a slight angle, you should say yates row. This is the proper "true" row.

I do rows in similar fashion but with way less hip movement, take a look at pendlays tutorial for rows.

The way ripp teaches them is downright retarded, his version is more of a lower back/hip exercise than lat/upper back. You might as well just do power cleans then.

Problem with barbell rows is you need good form at a high rep range and lower weight as a beginner in order to progress to intermediate around the same time you would squat and bench for example. As a result people much prefer curls and pulldowns even though theyre inferior because of the quicker results.

Increase your squat and Deadlift. You can't really do LP on assistance exercises for a long time, they stall out fairly quickly. Sometimes it helps to switch to another lift and take another run at it in a few months.
