Hey /fit/ my Unis gym is closed for renovations and I don't want to buy a membership right now. I'm 6'1 195 Ibs and kind of chubby. All my lifts are between novice and intermediate level. Could I do bodyweight shit for 3-4 months while I cut to 160-170? I mostly want to focus on eating clean anyways.

Yes
With body weight exercises for people obsessed with mass you need to do go to failure take half a second rest, go to failure, half second rest failure.
Repeat that
Because it's light weight, high reps, you need to exhaust the slow and medium twitch fibres, once that happens you use maximal strength fibres. You'll feel weird as fuck squatting your own bodyweight and struggling like you have 500 kg on your back - but you get used to it.
