I had another kid later in life. at 26 a boy this time around. Married the girl while she was pregnant. Life was good fore a while, had a nice house in the suburbs, a yard, a dog and a fireplace. I had nothing to loose, and life was shit anyway best not to think about it and work myself to death. Worked like a mad man for a bank for about 5 years. Got to CTO. Than the economical crisis happened, some people where layed off. At this point I met a girl. In a weird way, she was just about to be fired but she came in to my office to beg me for help. After a rather long talk, maybe some crying and punching on her part telling me she hates me... We're on good terms now. She lives with me. It almost feels like a real family. Provided shes as incompetent, unreliable and unstable as her mother.
