I had a pizza yesterday. Who cares?

Clean eating doesn't mean never eat anything unhealthy ever.

You can have a pizza. You can eat some cheesecake. You can have some chocolate. Just don't eat it every day, and work the rest of your daily macros/calories around it.

A medium pizza once a week does not a fatty make.

Sometimes it's alright to eat something awful. I eat micky dees or KFC once in a blue moon, or I eat pizza when the boys get together to play magic and get drunk.


What's important is that you keep them to "occasional" things, otherwise you'll undo all your progress.

Not true. Depends on your definition of a cheat day for one. I cut for 4 months before allowing myself to ever go over my TDEE. And even when I finally did I ate really low the 2 day prior so that my total calories for those 3 days evened out to still being under my calorie limit.

I understand that holding back cravings for an extended period of time can lead to some people being successful for a few months but eventually giving in and binging for days on end. But it all come down to your self control. IMO having consistent cheat days of eating over your TDEE once every week or two can really hold back your progress, especially if you eat 3-4 thousand calories on those days. Then it just leads to people spending the whole week looking forward to that one day and instead of cutting out unhealthy foods from their diet (or learning to work them in but in moderation) they just set them aside for 6 days at a time and then binge like pigs.

IMO a cheat day should either be eating something more unhealthy than usual and perhaps eating over your typical calorie limit, but still under your TDEE.

dough is just a hyper processed simple carb made up off processed wheat to make white flour,usually has corn oil in it, yeast and a starting agent such as baking powder or sugar. some contain eggs,milk or butter. cheese also has shitty macros 1oz or 28gs = 100 cals made up off 8g of fat and 5g of protien (most likely but this is just a example) most sauce has added sugars and oils,most meat on a pizza is just hyper processed like sausage or pepperonini

I partially agree. I simply look at it as a matter of calories but I've never had a cheat day (and I have had very few) where I ate multiple large meals. Usually it is one large one OR one large one and one very small one. But I also do IF so I tend to only eat two meals a day anyway.

This. I never understand why people cheat with fast food or fucking frozen shit. When I started eating better a lot of things started to taste different to me, much of it a lot better but a lot of fast food started to taste like dog shit. I got a cheeseburger from McDonald's like 3 months into my cut and it was a huge mistake. Not worth the calories at all. Very bland.
