Sup /fit/, how long will it take to do 8 pullups with my bodyweight on the waist and 8 dips with 2x my bodyweight on the waist. My weight is 185 lbs.
Should I focus only on pullups and dips & their weighted versions or do some supplementary exercises with weights? I have a bar + dips at home and a belt to hang weights on my waist, I'm planning to hang kettlebells.
You want to do eight dips with 370 pounds on the belt? That's rich.

Yeah exactly!
m8 either you re trolling or you ve fallen for a meme.
just in case you re stupid enough to be memed realize a guy like Big Ramy at 300+ lbs does body weight dips with nothing added on.

multiple years before you can even do 1 pullup with 2x BW. dips are a bit easier but will still take you some time if you can maintain healthy shoulders

The most I've seen a guy do for weighted pullups is 90lbs for 1-3 reps. I still can't bust out a 45lbs pull up set for 8 reps.
While it might not be impossible I doubt anyone could do 185lbs for more than maybe 3 reps, and those guys would probably be roided up or like 7ft tall. Good luck though, make a world record.
stop watching these stupid cross fit vids.
get up to 20 wide grip pull ups, 3 sets, clean reps up and down controlled and stretching out those lats. if you can do that then worry about adding something on, but you won't be because you'll realize at that point your lats will start flaring and it's more than enough. Same with dips, 20 solid fucking reps, correct form x3. you will see results with proper form and diet.

I want that more for my grappling hobby rather than for aesthetics. As I started doing pullups/dips I mentioned my overall strength increased and I got stronger than other guys at the gym. I want to keep working on my grip strength
