If you want to lose weight while simultaneously gain muscle mass, you need to do Starting Strength (deadlift, squats, and bench press) plus drinking a gallon of milk a day
>SS to get your muscles started, you can add exercises 6 months later to focus muscles more)
>Gallon of milk for cheap and easily processed protein
>do cardio always before starting

Do this for 6 months and I promise results.
Or if you want you can read the sticky. Most of it is just macro shit if you want to go deep :)

Op here's the deal. Losing weight is like the easiest thing you can do if you are not a shit human being with shit discipline.

1. Don't eat processed shit and dairy products.

2.research intermittent fasting (personally I do the 8 on/16 off)

3.do your fucking cardio. Even if it's just 2 times a week. Walk,jog,run for 20-30 minutes. You have to be extremely consistent and make no excuses for yourself.

That's all it takes.

To expand upon this, if muscle is your goal. Your gonna have to choose a starting program to establish strength and then go on to look at a split program.

An old man's once said "your never done a strength program untill your dead".

Solid advice but for all intents and purposes, your goal is asthetics. Do starting strength for 6 months AND NO MORE THEN SIX MONTHS. Then find a 3 day split.

Why no? People don't need big numbers to be asthetic. If you can 1/2/3/4 you really have all the strength you need. Prove me wrong.

People don't need to ever touch starting strength or "build a strength base".

They can go right into a general weight lifting workout schema where they put weight on the bar at a slower pace.

No point in rushing it and the workout sets people up for a lifestyle and approach to lifting that will lead to problems down the line.

Not really a life style if done for 6 months. That's the whole point. If done for 6 months, you should have a base relatively decent enough to start on isolation work. If your trying your quickest to get to 10 your gonna want to start from 5, not zero. People way more qualified then me or you would say the same thing.
