Why do we market fattening foods to children?
>>42548164
Because kids don't know any better and most parents can't be arsed to care. That shit's cheap to make and is addicting.
It really is sad.
>>42548164
Because children have so much money and as parents we have no control over our kids habits and upbringing. Now go find me a bag of organic veggies that aren't frozen for 99cents
>>42548164
Because all of those things are fine in moderation. Kids don't understand 'moderation' though, and most parents are too oblivious to care. If pudding will shut Little Timmy up for the night then it MUST be good for him.

A parent should care more about the food they are putting into their children. The basics of "keep them alive" are insufficient when you live in a first world society such as the Anglosphere or Europe.
>Hamburger helper cheeseburger macaroni = $0.17/oz (box) - $0.49/oz (cup)
Macaroni = $0.06/oz
Ground beef = $0.21/oz
If you do 2/3 macaroni, 1/3 ground beef the replacement is $0.11/oz
>Sugar Coated Oatmeal = $0.52/oz
Regular oatmeal is $0.09/oz
>Pudding = $0.08/oz
This is pretty cheap but it's almost pure sugar and won't fill them up or hold them over. Better off getting a half pound of broccoli or another veggie for the same price.

Fat kids eat more. Eat more, buy more, pay more. That's capitalism, like Jason Blaha from the Ice Cream Fitness would say.
>>42548164
yet another tragedy created by capitalism and the profit motive
Godless capitalism.

And we wonder why cancer rates are through the roof. . . O wait, we don't because we know why.
I'm going shopping after I get off work in an hour. I'll post Wholefoods prices of these cheap veggies you speak of.

Cancer rates are also 'up' because we can detect and diagnose it better, instead of attributing it to Old Man Addington down the lane being infested with The Devil. If we discover a pervasive disease that doesn't mean the rate went up infinity percent.

People who eat more vegetables, be it frozen or fresh, organic or not, are healthier than people who eat less.
why'd he have to bring race into it?
