Is there a difference between Standing dumbbell OHP and seated OHP? And if so, which is objectively better? thx

Standing up utilises core stability muscles, so standing is much better.
>>
>>42546638
seated without a backrest uses core stability muscles

the difference for the muscles actually worked is minimal. do whatever

Oh I thought seated would help isolate the delts better because you had the back support
>>
Sitting will allow you to go heavier with good form, so it's easier to progress. Everyone here hates on people standing om those stability balls but when they have to defend their lifts it always stability as their only reason.

Either is fine but if you're actually serious about really isolating your delts then you're best off doing laying ohp with the cable machine. Pic related

Uh thanks anon, but it's nearly impossible to get a chance to use both sides of the cable machine at my gym. There's a lateral raise machine and that's the best I have.
>>
>>42546659
what's the fucking point of sitting without a backrest? might as well just do them standing then dipshit
>>

>Is there a difference
Yes, you stand for one and sit for the other. Assuming you're doing some other form of standing exercises or core work, the difference is negligible in terms of effectiveness.
>>

it's harder to cheat or if you lift at home and have a low ceiling.
>>
>>42546728
Fart nex to it then retard
>>
Just do PPLPPLx

On the first Push day do Seated Shoulder DB press. On the 2nd Push day do Standing OHP.

Get the best of both worlds, or be a DYEL minimalist faggot for the rest of your life.
