It depends on what you season the meat with but chicken and beef don't really taste like anything if you don't put seasonings

Meat flavor is in the fat. Chicken tastes like everything because it's usually lean (especially breast). Chicken wings and thighs have a slightly more distinct flavor for that same reason.

Beef has a vivid beefy flavor, not sure what >>42544590 is on about. Stewed beef chuck or oxtail have a taste that can only be described as beef. Same with expensive (marbled) steak.

If you're extremely curious you can pour something savory like soy sauce or marmite on tofu to see what happens. But I wouldn't.
