Pharmacology is imperfect, relatively poorly understood, and prescribing has it's pitfalls like anything else. Now don't take that the wrong way, I'm well on my way to becoming a surgeon and will be prescribing many drugs in my lifetime, they're absolutely necessary and a blessing to society as a whole, but you've painted this obscene picture where somehow synthetic drugs are GOAT and herbs that've been used for millennia are hippy dogshit.
