You need to have an insane amount of muscle endurance to be able to do 100 proper pushups going all the way down. Never met anyone who could do it.

I can but for what purpose? I can also do 28 pull ups but what purpose does that serve? if I can do more then 10 reps I add weight because I only care about gains.

Push ups, done with truly proper form, are actually quite difficult. Plus, form is always better than number of reps, at least when it comes to body-weight stuff.
It's better to do a tougher version of the push-up (like archer push-ups) than to work on volume, especially if by doing volume form is shit.
I thought I could do push-ups but then figured out how to do it properly and I can't even handle a 3x8. I pad with inclines for now but sure feels bad being so weak.
