Why does every person on instagram that has fitness or some bullshit in their name believe they are doing the hardest thing in the world by working out? Always posting shit about how only they can do this and how strong they are and how much better they are than people who don't lift. Has your hobby been taken over by normies?

It's literally a marketing scheme.
Normies are extremely impressionable. When they see shit like this they think "Wow, this person truly knows what he/she is doing. I can't even be disciplined enough to not eat pizza and have a beer every weekend, let alone eat well and go to the gym".
Then they get a lot of followers and companies reach out to them to promote their bullshit products. Shit like this would make Goebbels proud.
