how long did it take you to get from 135 working sets to 225 working sets?

on bench press that is idk how i forgot to mention that.

3.5 years.
Ama.
About a year, would have taken less if I had eaten correctly. Don't focus on hitting 2pl8, focus on adding 10lbs to the bar.
Got 135 for working sets over a year ago, still dont have 2 plate.
Not there yet. I bench about 135. Was 145 when I was doing a small bulk, but I've spent a majority of my lifting career on a cut, so my lifts are garbage.

Correction, probably more like a year and a few months. It would have taken a year if I had eaten correctly.
In the beggining of the year I was benching 125x5 (auschwitz mode)
Now I can bench 160x5
If you want to gain strenght fast, just eat more. It's literally about that, as long as you have a good frenquency through the week.

Btw, I don't eat enough, that's why my gains are slow

Once you get up to around bodyweight progress slows way down though. 135-160/180 doesn't mean much, 180-225 is a lot more difficult
About 4 years? I started out benching like 65

About 2 months for squats. Longer for everything else. Never made it for bench so lets say more than 2.5 years and counting for that.
I am the SS meme. Dammit

I hadn't touched a weight in like ~8 years, buddy had 135 sitting on the bar, laid down busted out 10 reps. Such is the life of a builtfat.
Fairly active before I started lifting came in at just shy of 225, got there in a couple months. 315 only took one bulk season.
