5'8 male, 140 pounds after a lot of weight loss. I don't know my bf% but I'm def skinny fat, I'd guess 18%
I want to gain abs basically, should I just start working out hard or lose more weight? If I work out at this bf% will I be turning the fat to muscle/abs, or just having it hide under what I have?

My weight is deifnitely 140 as well.
Bf% I'm unsure of how to measure, I don't have calipers. I used a measuring tape but it was one of those ones that are more metallic/doesn't bend well
Then I used an online calculator. I'll try to find a more accurate way to measure myself
Yeah I looked back over my measurement, they can't be right. I put in 33' waist for example, but I wear size 28 jeans, which would mean 28' waist
I am lost as to what my bf% is, I may remake the thread when I buy a measuring tool for that.

Just eat at maintenance and lift.
I look very close to how the guy on the left looks, except I still have love handles to an extent and looser skin.
Any more opinions or advice would help.
Still unsure of what to do. Looked up reddit (I know) advice. And they say to cut as low as you can. 125 or so for someone my height. Which seems extreme.
