signed up for kickboxing beginner class that starts next month
gimme some tips, how do I not embarrass myself

It's a beginner class, just be humble and it will be ok. Don't make an ass of yourself, you're there to learn.
Work capacity and flexibility would serve you well, do as >>42481844 said.
If you need ideas: jump rope, sets of 3 minutes, 1 minute rest in between, and read the Bigger Stronger Faster book (it's for high school athletes) for a stretch routine.

thanks bro. I definitely need to work on my flexibility. I used to be reaaally stiff as fuck before I started going to the gym and started stretching more, but I'm still semi stiff. Gotta work on that more before the class starts.
