Are potatoes better than bread? These things have shitloads of vitamins, vitamin C, and potassium
Yes

Much better. They don't contain gluten either and are very easy to digest. When they were first discovered they were considered a miracle food because they stopped sailors from getting scurvy. They were quickly spread around Europe and a lot of pressure was put on farmers to grow them in many many different countries, from Portugal to Russia, and Ireland to Italy.
depends on the soil conditions and cultivation practices. if you want the best of both worlds, eat potato bread.
Can someone redpill me on rice? It seems like this stuff is basically just carbs without any other nutrients unless you get fortified

Wins bread/grains anyway. Just consider carbs to be just carbs, not your vitamin sources.

I guess I'm in a cutting frame of mind, just don't see any reason to eat rice when I could eat sweet potatoes or potatoes, or even a plantain and get carbs with micronutrients as well
