Hey /fit/, I've been DYEL my whole life and recently started a bodyweight routine a little over a month ago. I've been progressing pretty well and actually have noticeable gains which surprised me (especially biceps/forearms). Problem is that I'm struggling to do chest/back because my arms are failing before my larger muscles are. I'm up to decline diamond pushups and my triceps and biceps feel exhausted before I feel it in my chest. Same with pullups/chinups which I take are supposed to work lats?

Anyways, I'm doing full body 3x a week every other day and resting on weekends. Is this a natural beginner thing that will go away in time, or should I adjust my routine?

Right, I figure all of those exercises hit the arms to some degree and that they are just getting overworked. I'm just concerned about accidentally skipping muscles entirely because my arms are exhausted

Your grip will improve over time but will always remain as a potential bottleneck in some lifts.

Dead hangs, farmers walks, deadlifts, etc are all great for training grip sooner rather than later but sooner or later you'll need mixed grip on deadlift and eventually straps.

Also worry about your grip and form. You can make huge improvements in things like rows and pullups simply by putting your thumb over the bar and thus increasing lat activation and reducing grip strain. Form is important for many reasons.
