Anybody on /fit/ have depression and deal with it with exercise?
In addition to medications, I keep getting told that it was THE healthy thing for both depression and anxiety.
It works, the endorphins kick in and I feel good from it. But after I calm down and go home I am usually still a little down.
What does /fit/ recommend? Does anybody else experience the same problem?
your diet will have a massive affect. eat healthy, get your nutrients/vitamins, exercize and keep your bf% low. this will foster a proper body environment to create testosterone which will help a lot. you can make it anon

You basically described why I started lifting in the first place. Was a skinnyfat with massive depression/anxiety, and felt that lifting to improve how my body looks/feels would be very helpful because it would be physical evidence that I was doing something right in my life. Keep lifting OP, we're all gonna make it.

It definitely helps my pointless rage and sadness. I mean I'm still sad and angry but it stops me going public place machete massacre mode. I wish I could work out for hours everyday then sleep til the next workout.
