Eating hot meals might help make you feel fuller rather than eating cold food.
Then again, I'm pulling that theory out of my ass, don't take my word for it.

I'd say cold food doesn't make you fuller, but you're right it does make your organism burn more calories in the digestive process.
Anorexics take cold ass showers + suck on ice in order for their bodies to lose more energy/calories.
