Isn't it obvious? The bar is traveling further so it requires more strength to lift it back up. Coupled with that, the increased range of motion incorporates more muscle fibres into the squat. And you're doing an unfamiliar squat (high bar) which is more quad heavy anyway. Of course you got the DOMS.

If you got the flexibility to squat atg without compromising form I say go for it.

high bar is more quad dominant, while low bar uses more posterior chain (you can low bar more than you can high bar for this reason)

Guys, I was doing squats today and at the last squat this feeling in my back started tingling and after about a minute it felt like there's a dislocated bone in my lower back right above my ass by ~2inches.

It stayed with me but I did my bench/deadlifts anyway and it was a fucking pain. Should I stop squatting? It still has that dislocated feeling 6 hours later.

Get weightlifting shoes and work on your hip mobility. You can injure your back if your back rounds excessively. Work on your hip mobility if you dont wanna end up snapping your shit sooner or later. Ideally, you want to be able to go all the way up and down without any trouble.
