As long as you hit the same muscles 2/3 times a week you're golden. That said: I'm doing 6 times a week. Hitting everything 2 times a week. I've never experienced faster/better results (strength gains, overall muscle gains and definition) and it's much easier to stay motivated. Try it for 6 months and compare. Maybe your body can't handle the load, maybe it can.
