I run 4 miles every other day. The other days I lift for about an hour.
Will the running fuck up the lifting?
Also my favorite quest bar is mint chocolate
yes, your lifts will be much worse. do cardio after lifting, not before.
Blueberry muffin is better
Idk about running

I don't lift on run day and vice versa
>>42427026
if he alternates how do you know which is before or which is after? did you even read the question?
>>42426989
Yes. Stop doing so much. Just lift 3 times a week for 30 minutes.

Why?
Seriously. Am I really doing too much? I enjoy running, and it burns about 500 calories a day. What's wrong with what I'm doing?

oops my bad. the whole anti-cardio meme comes from people that spend 6-7 days at the gym, running 4 miles would probably fuck up their shit. plus it is of no benefit to them, from a bodybuidling perspective. it will probably impact work outs where you require your legs. if you are an avid runner though, you shouldn't even be sore after 4miles. test your limits.

There's better cardio, like martial arts or sprints
>>42426989
There is absolutely nothing wrong with cardio, I got swole doing only cardio (rowing). But running is the most low test form of cardio there is, do something else, running is too low intensity, it murders joints, and it only uses a small portion of muscles
Thoughts on half-marathon training and doing 3 days, 1hr each of oly/free weight stuff?

Man if you like running then keep at it. It'll do good for you. I like running more than bikes and swimming but I try to incorporate hill sprints a time or so a week. But be sure to take care of your joints!

of course this isn't 100% gospel, but if you're just starting out and you're trying to lift seriously, cardio will be a limiting factor
if you're just trying to lose some weight or casually pump some iron every now and then, running if fine

Mild cardio for a warmup is ok.
Like hop on the treadmill or cycle for 15-20 to warm up and get loose before doing your lift warmups, but don't tax your reserves yet. Instead, do cardio afterwards, if at all, to finish them off.
