So over the last month and a half i're started to run and just starting lifting for the first time in years. I've already dropped about 30 pounds but some friends say that i'm not eating enough. With my meal prep I eat about 800 calories a day of meats, vegetables, and complex carbs. The only carbs that I eat are sweet potatoes and oats. Am I eating enough daily or should I keep on this track until I get to my desired body weight?

If you are over eighteen % bf, you have enough energy availability to not worry about it at all.
If you are under fifteen, do a 850 kcal deficit at most, if natty

You could do okay with a very high protein intake and 100g/day of carbs minimum. You don't want to enter ketosis if you can avoid it, the symptoms will detract from your workouts.
It's probably easier mentally to continue with a heavy calorie deficit until you're at overweight BMI instead of obese. But everyone's going to tell you you're not eating enough, and there's really no response for that.

Which one is more important to pay attention to, Body fat or BMI? I'm sitting at around 17-18% body fat but my BMI is 30.8. I wont be considered at a healthy BMI until I weigh 194.

BMI, because that's what doctors are going to be concerned about. Approval from your doctor > approval from anonymous strangers on 4chan.
So once you get out of obese BMI territory and into overweight BMI ranges, my recommendation is to switch to a more reasonable calorie deficit and continue lifting regularly.

If I lost enough weight to have a "normal BMI" I would have 0% body fat.
